CHARLES KILLPACK, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Chuck Killpack joined Pixxures in May 2003 to add some industry experience and depth to the Company’s senior management team. In addition to managing the overall operations of Pixxures, he is responsible for overseeing the Company’s strategic and tactical plans as well as creating and developing unique mapping and web services solutions that support these strategies.
Prior to joining the Pixxures team, Mr. Killpack was President of E-ConAgra.com in Greeley, Colorado, where he managed an independent operating company focused on Internet delivery of agricultural information and imagery (Emerge, Inc.), as well as on expanding the digital imagery market for agriculture in general.Mr. Killpack’s reputation as a widely respected professional in the GIS industry was largely the result of his extensive work with ESRI, where he began as a Regional Manager in Charlotte, NC in 1987. In Charlotte, Mr. Killpack constructed the regional office program for ESRI and spearheaded efforts to open offices in other cities. His final position as ESRI’s General Manager and Director of Worldwide Sales included responsibility for business and contract development, federal sales contracts, managing the extensive ESRI Business Partner Program, and oversight of R&D efforts for current and future product lines. He also provided program development for direct sales, indirect channels and international distribution.Prior to joining ESRI, Mr. Killpack was General Manager of Aeronca Electronics’ GIS Division and founder of IRIS International, a company that provided GIS and remote sensing software and services to developing nations. Mr. Killpack holds a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and an M.S. in Landscape Architecture and Planning from Harvard University. Following his education, he spent five years in research and teaching in the fields of remote sensing and GIS before moving into the corporate arena.
KUMAR NAVULUR - VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Kumar Navulur has over 20 years experience in Remote Sensing and Business Development.
Kumar started his career at Resource21, LLC as Principal Engineer and Director of Technology Development. From there, he joined DigitalGlobe as Sr. Manager/Product Architect where he managed a team of scientists to develop multi-spectral imagery using state-of-the-art object oriented technology. As Chief Technology Officer at Spectrum, Kumar was responsible for the technical direction of the company. He managed the Technology Development Group and oversaw new product development, streamlined production and improved overall through put. Prior to joining Pixxures, Kumar was a Sr. Consultant with NewFields, LLC, a full service environmental consulting firm. He spearheaded the geo-spatial technology development and technology transfer within the NewFields companies and developed a geo-spatial consulting practice to serve customers in the Oil and Gas, State and Local governments, Engineering and other industries.
In his role as Vice President of Business Development at Pixxures, Kumar focuses on building new products and content for many different markets.
STEVE JENNINGS- VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND MARKETING
Steve Jennings has over 25 years experience in Sales and Marketing.
Steve started his career at Park Aerial Surveys in Louisville, KY (now James W. Sewell Co.) as flight operations, customer relationship and production manager. His career included 19 years at E.I. DuPont in a variety of sales management, product management and marketing roles in the Geophysical / A-E-C / Medical Imaging markets. Steve was the General Manager for the Geophysical Imaging business unit and later the Radiology Imaging/Information business unit for DuPont before moving back into the Oil & Gas industry with a Houston based data management start-up. Most recently, Jennings was the Sr. Vice President of Marketing for DigitalGlobe in Longmont, Colorado and Vice President of Americas Sales for Leica Geosystems. Steve resides in Boulder County, Colorado.
In his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pixxures, Steve oversees strategic Sales and Marketing efforts and integration of XēDAR Corporation’s Geospatial Division companies, Pixxures, Inc. and Premier Data Services.
WENDY M. LUCK, SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER
Wendy Luck comes from a background in mapping with a BS degree in Geology and an MS in Environmental Policy and Management. She worked with stereo aerial photography to map geologic formations and produce geologic maps for the Oil and Gas industry as well as creating formation contour maps to site wells in the 1980s. Her experience scanning aerial film in the 1990s gives her an understanding of the radiometry of imagery from the start of the orthorectification production process. Wendy has a certificate in Project Management and over 7 years’ experience managing multiple projects at Pixxures. She has been the project manager on the successful multi-year, multi-million dollar Census TIGER improvement project from its inception in 2000. In addition, Wendy was closely involved in the development and testing of Pixxures’ LineWorks software and manages all LineWorks projects.
Wendy began her career with Pixxures as a project manager, training on all aspects of the ortho rectification software and believes in hands-on project management with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Organization, communication, and a commitment to quality comprise the foundation of a successful project. She has over 17 year’s experience in project/production management, mapping, scanning, orthophotography, and vector-related work.
In her current position as Senior Program Manager, she is responsible for managing multiple projects, specializing in vector and direct digital orthophotography projects for repeat customers. She also actively supports Sales, Finance, and new business development activities.
MARK STANTON, PROGRAM MANAGER & FLIGHT COORDINATOR
Mr. Mark Stanton has over 10 years combined experience in Geology and GIS related work. Mark joined Pixxures in the spring of 2001 while working on his Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. His background as an Oil and Gas Geologist, with cartographic skills, enabled him to easily adapt to the digital orthophoto mapping production process flows. Additionally, he was responsible for implementing the scanning capabilities at Pixxures. Mark has a detailed level of understanding of multi-band radiometric and color balancing procedures, ensuring quality digital products from start to finish. Mr. Stanton has applied new technologies and procedures to the mosaic generation workflow that have resulted in much more “seamless appearing” mosaic products and increased customer satisfaction. Mark has worked on orthophotography projects for commercial entities involving nation-wide city-sets and statewide mosaic products. His duties as Flight Coordinator include: flight planning, cost estimating, flight scheduling, weather forecasting, base station location planning, sensor operation training and communication with the flight crews. As Program Manger he responsible for managing and overseeing the successful completion of direct digital and film based projects from planning, cost estimating, customer communications, control planning, orthorectification, tone/color balancing and mosaic creation.
LAURENCE C. BLEILER, SENIOR PHOTOGRAMMETRIST
Mr. Laurence (Chad) Bleiler has been in the geospatial industry for the last seven years. After graduating with a B.S. in Geography with an emphasis in Cartography and GIS Mapping, Chad headed up Technical Operations at J.D. Russell and Associates. He oversaw the planning and design of project architecture, flight planning proposal writing and overall technical workflow. With the emergence of soft-copy technology, Chad expanded his expertise into the digital environment. As a Softcopy Photogrammetrist at Axis Geospatial, Chad performed compilation on both large and small-scale projects and enhanced his experience working in orthophoto production, seaming, and color balancing. Chad joined Pixxures’ team in 2004. He played a key role in helping Pixxures develop digital imagery (ADS40) production on a high capacity multi-processor cluster. He was also involved in developing dynamic capture routines for DEM generation using digital imagery. He currently manages and performs all aspects of photogrammetric production for digital and traditional framed imagery.
Mr. Larry Haustein brings 15 years experience in IT systems management with 6 years experience in the design of image processing systems. He is responsible for the optimization of Pixxures’ computers, network systems, firewalls, Internet security, as well as the design and installation of Pixxures’ high speed networks. He specializes in the configuration of Linux/UNIX servers and cluster processing systems using multi-terabyte datasets. Mr. Haustein is instrumental in the implementation of new computer technologies and the design of multi-operating system computers working together for both Administrative and Production use. Mr. Haustein has a B.S. in Computer Science and possesses certifications in A+ - Computer Systems Hardware and MCSE – Networking Essentials and Windows Architecture.
